Dear Nobles,
Thank you for your continued support of Shriners Hospitals for Children — Boston. We appreciate your messages of encouragement as we proceed with plans to reimagine and transform our existing space.
We are writing to provide you with an update on Shriners Hospitals for Children — Boston’s facility transition plan. As we shared earlier, the Boston Shriners Hospital participated in a public hearing as part of the Department of Public Health’s regulatory review process regarding essential services. The hearing took place on Thursday, July 30, 2020. The Shriners Hospitals leadership team in Boston and at our Headquarters in Tampa received notification from DPH that the essential health services review is complete, and there are no more steps in that process.
There remain additional regulatory requirements of the state’s formal review, which initially focus on the facility plan review. This track of the DPH process is underway.
We will provide you with periodic updates as we move through the regulatory review process. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to the children who need our specialized care. Throughout this transition, the hospital will remain open, treating children and transforming lives. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
